FROM THE ROAD

a few frames from each place

NORTH GEORGIA and ANYWHERE YOUR STORY LEADS

I am based on our family farmland in North Georgia – seventeen acres of mountainside goodness – and most of my work is made within an easy drive of it. The farm lane, the meadows, the ridges turning rust in autumn: these are the places I know by heart, and where I know exactly how the light will fall.

But I travel, gladly and often. I have carried a camera to weddings well beyond these hills, north into the Appalachians, and across the water to the Scottish Highlands – glens and stone walls, red kirk doors, a grey beach in the far north. If your story belongs somewhere else entirely, tell me where. I would love to meet you there.

THE NORTH GEORGIA HILLS

Blue Ridge foothills

Broomsedge fields and hardwood ridges that turn every shade of rust in autumn. Home ground - the farm lane, the meadows, the bluffs above the lake. My favourite hour here is the last one.

TENNESSEE APPALACHIAN CATSKILLS

north into the mountains

Higher ground and older forest. Mist that sits in the valleys until mid-morning, rhododendron thickets, and light that arrives late and leaves slowly. Worth the drive for a day that deserves it.

THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

Evanton & Loch Awe

Stone walls, a white cottage under a glen, the red door of St Conan’s Kirk, a grey beach at Dornoch. A landscape I have loved and read about for years, and photographed in properly.

Notes from friends

“Jessie came down the farm lane in her cute rain boots, barn cat at her heels, camera ready to go. The golden hour was just beginning, perfect for this master of shadows and light. Somehow time was suspended for just a moment. She doesn’t just make pictures. She makes memories.”

Grace J.

“Gifted is the word that comes to mind when I think of Jessie, and that doesn’t even come close to describing her with a camera. She is joyful and kind, making you feel so beautiful and natural on the other side of the camera. I cannot recommend her enough.”

Cate C.

“Jessie is a treasure! She has photographed our growing family over the last three years. She has a way of taking the stress out of a photo shoot, and creating a warm and joyful experience. We treasure the art she creates.”

Hillary M.

“We had Jessie capture us, and it was such a special event. She was kind, timely, and went above and beyond to get the documentary style shots that I was hoping for. I cannot recommend her enough.”

TRAVELLING TOGETHER

how a destination booking works

01

tell me where

Send me the place and the dates, along with anything you already have booked. If you are still deciding, I am happy to think out loud with you – there is an optional 15 minute Zoom for exactly this.

02

a bespoke quote

Travel and accommodation are quoted trip by trip rather than from a fixed list, so the figure you get is the real one for your location, your season, and the hours you actually need.

03

the same care, further away

Everything else runs as it always does – a styling guide before we meet, gentle direction on the day, a private gallery after. Families see images within three days to two weeks; weddings within four to eight, with a sneak peek inside forty-eight hours.

A signed shoot agreement secures family and couple sessions; weddings are held with a signed agreement and a 15% deposit. Read the full process on the Experience page.

so - where shall we go?

Tell me the place, the people, and roughly when. I read every note myself, and I will come back with honest thoughts on whether I am the right person for it.
