THE EXPERIENCE

NORTH GA PHOTOGRAPHER

the creative process

Photography with me has never been a transaction with a shutter. It is a few hours of your real life – tended carefully, and then kept. Whether you are marrying, expecting, growing, or simply savouring the season you are in, we begin the same way: with a conversation, and a pace that lets you stay present inside it.

What follows is how we move from your first note to photographs living on your walls. Five unhurried steps, and me beside you for every one of them – offering suggestions on where to go and when, what to wear, how to plan the hours, or simply holding the details so you can arrive and breathe.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
01 / 05

the first note

We begin by talking. Tell me who your people are, what season you are standing in, and what you hope to still be holding twenty years from now. If you already carry a vision, wonderful. If you do not, that is precisely what I am here for.

We will talk through dates, location ideas, and which session suits your story best – and I will always give you my honest thoughts rather than the easiest sell.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
02 / 05

choosing your place

Where we stand matters. Our family farm in Clermont, the bluffs above Flowery Branch, a field of broomsedge at golden hour, the hills of the Southeast and destinations well beyond – each carries its own light and its own meaning.

Often the truest setting is simply the rooms where your ordinary life already happens. I will offer suggestions shaped by the season, the hour of day, and the way your family actually moves.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

styling your session

Before we meet you will receive an optional pre-session guide – thoughts on colour, texture, and layering that photograph tenderly in natural light, drawn from the tones I love most: wood, stone, water, sky, and clay.

I am glad to build a wardrobe board for you, or simply to talk through what is already hanging in your closet. The aim is never a costume. It is you, comfortable, in your own skin.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
04 / 05

the day itself

Come as you are. We walk, we talk, and we let things unfold – I direct gently, and only where it genuinely helps. Small children are welcome to be small children; adult children, many children, pets and grandparents all the same.

Somewhere between the first frame and the last, everyone forgets the camera is there. That is exactly where the photographs live, and it is the part I wait for.

the keeping + the telling

Your hand-edited gallery arrives in a private online space, yours to download and print as you please. Family and couple galleries land between three days and two weeks; weddings between four and eight, with a sneak peek album within forty-eight hours.

Print them. Frame them. Let them be handled, argued over, and passed down. These were never meant to stay on a screen.
